My Friends, watches are my “thinngggg”! I absolutely LOVE them!
Honestly, I don’t think I have ever met a watch that I didn’t like. Give me a beautiful timepiece and I am one happy girl! Haha!
Today, I am sharing a watch that was sent to me by a seller on DHGate to review. As always, all opinions are completely my own, and I am going to tell you exactly what I think.
And let me tell you right from the beginning…
This watch is beautiful!
First Impressions
When this watch arrived, the first thing I noticed was the presentation.
The box itself is actually really beautiful, and I have a little suggestion for the seller — if you are ordering a watch like this, I would personally spring for the upgraded box if that option is available.
Why?
Because when something is travelling through shipping, I think having a little extra protection around the watch is worth it. The beautiful box is also part of the overall presentation, so if you are giving this watch as a gift, I think the upgraded packaging would make it feel even more special.
And let’s be honest… I love pretty packaging almost as much as I love the watch inside! Haha!
That Oyster Perpetual-Style Band
Now let’s talk about my favourite part of this watch — well, one of my favourite parts!
It has a silver Oyster Perpetual-style band, and if you have followed me for any length of time, you probably already know that this is my favourite style of watch band.
Why?
Because it fits my wrist perfectly.
It literally feels like a beautiful hug around my wrist.
I don’t know how else to explain it, but when a watch band fits just right, you know it!
The silver finish also gives this watch that classic, timeless look that makes it easy to wear with so many different outfits.
The Green Dial Is the Showstopper
Now let’s get to that dial!
My Friends… LOOK at that green!
The dial has a gorgeous two-toned green pattern that gives it so much depth and interest. It isn’t just a flat green dial — there is something about the pattern that catches the light and makes it look different depending on where you are.
And then we have the sparkly fluted bezel.
Ohhhh, I love this!
When the watch catches the sunlight or even certain indoor lighting, that bezel sparkles and really becomes an eye-catching part of the entire timepiece.
It adds a little bit of glamour without taking away from the classy and sophisticated feel of the watch.
And you know me…
If there is a little sparkle involved, I am probably going to love it! Haha!
And Yes, There Is a Cyclops!
Now, you may notice the little magnifier over the date.
And yes, my Friends, it actually has a name!
It is called a Cyclops.
I know… strange name, right?
But it is really just a magnifying lens over the date window, making the date easier to see.
I think it is one of those little details that gives the watch a more elevated and traditional look.
A Little Detail on the Crown
The crown also features the expected symbol, which adds another little detail to the overall design.
I really like when a watch pays attention to the small things because those little details can make such a difference in how a timepiece looks and feels.
And this watch definitely has that classic, elevated appearance that I love.
Is This an Everyday Watch?
Absolutely!
If you are looking for a watch that feels elevated, classy and sophisticated, but is still something you can wear on a daily basis, I think this is a beautiful option.
The silver band keeps it classic.
The green dial gives it personality.
The sparkly fluted bezel gives it that little bit of glamour.
And together, it creates a watch that can easily be dressed up or worn with something much more casual.
That is exactly what I look for in a watch.
I don’t want something that only comes out for special occasions. I want something I can put on in the morning, look down at my wrist and think…
Ohhhh, that’s pretty! Haha!
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I think this is a beautiful watch, and it is definitely one that caught my attention.
The green dial is gorgeous, the two-toned pattern gives it dimension, the fluted bezel adds sparkle, and that Oyster Perpetual-style band is, of course, one of my absolute favourites.
My only suggestion would be to consider the upgraded watch box if that option is available, especially if you are concerned about protecting the watch during shipping or if you are purchasing it as a gift.
Other than that, I really like this timepiece.
And because watches are my “thinngggg”, you already know I am going to be wearing this one!
Let’s Chat
What do you think of this green dial watch — is green a colour you would wear on your wrist?
Do you prefer a classic silver watch band, or do you like gold or two-tone watches better?
What do you think about the sparkly fluted bezel? Too much sparkle or just the right amount? Haha!
Do you like the Oyster-style watch band as much as I do?
Have you ever heard the magnifier over the date called a Cyclops? I had to look it up the first time too! Haha!
And finally, My Friends… are watches your “thinngggg” too, or am I just a little bit obsessed?
Disclosure: This watch was sent to me by a seller on DHGate for review. I received the watch at no cost, but all opinions expressed in this post are completely my own.
