I made a little Walmart run and came home with some wardrobe basics that I know I’m going to get a LOT of use out of! From super-soft George T-Shirts in easy-to-wear colors to those hard-to-find Shapewear Tank Tops that seem to disappear from Walmart shelves as quickly as they arrive, these are definitely worth talking about.
And you know me… when I find something I love at an affordable price, I immediately start thinking, “Hmmmm… what other colors do they have?”
Super-Soft George T-Shirts for Only $9!
Let’s start with these George Brand T-Shirts from Walmart because I am seriously loving them!
They are super soft, comfortable, affordable, and come in a variety of colors—and at just $9.00 each, you really can’t go wrong.
I’ve always really loved the George brand at Walmart. I find that their clothing is good quality without making my wallet cry, and that is definitely a combination I can get behind!
These T-Shirts are such great wardrobe basics because they can be dressed up or down. Wear one with jeans for an easy everyday outfit, layer one under a cardigan or jacket, or pair it with leggings for a casual and comfortable look.
Of course, I gravitated toward the solid colors, because that’s usually what I do. But I also remember seeing some striped options, and now I’m thinking maybe I should step outside my comfort zone and try something a little different.
I mean… a girl can be adventurous, right?
So stay tuned because I may just be heading back to Walmart to pick up more colors—and maybe even those stripes!
Walmart Shapewear Tank Tops Are a Must-Have
Now let’s talk about something I apparently can never have enough of… Shapewear Tank Tops!
Yes, I already have multiples of these, but honestly, can a girl ever have too many shapewear tank tops?
I think not!
If you happen to spot these Walmart Shapewear Tank Tops at your local store, my advice is to snag them up while you can. They can be surprisingly hard to find because Walmart tends to sell out of them really quickly.
Fortunately for me, I found two!
I picked up one black and one white, and I really wish they had a nude shade available because nude shapewear is so versatile and can work underneath so many different outfits. Unfortunately, there weren’t any nude ones left when I was shopping.
They come in a range of sizes, and I picked up a Large.
These tank tops are really shaping and do a great job of smoothing everything out. When I wear a smaller size, it definitely gives me that super-snatchy look—but let’s be honest, I also need to breathe!
The Large gives me the shaping and smoothing I want while still being much more comfortable for everyday wear.
And speaking of getting them on…
My Shapewear Tip: Don’t Pull It Over Your Head!
If you’ve never worn shapewear before, let me give you a little tip that has saved me from what I can only describe as an exhausting workout at the gym!
Don’t put your shapewear tank top on by pulling it over your head.
Trust me.
You’ll be struggling, twisting, stretching, and performing what feels like the most difficult yoga positions known to mankind just to get that thing into place.
Instead, step into it from the neck opening and pull it up over your body.
It is SO much easier!
I find that putting it on this way makes the whole process much less of a struggle. And really, isn’t that what we want?
Less struggling and more shaping! Hahaha!
These little Walmart finds are exactly the kind of things I love adding to my wardrobe—comfortable, practical, affordable, and pieces I know I’ll actually wear.
And now I’m already thinking about going back for those other George T-Shirt colors.
Because apparently, one Walmart haul is never really just one Walmart haul.
