Dancing Diamonds in a Watch ✨

My Friends, I have a new watch for my collection, and this one is STUNNING! ✨

The moment I saw this watch, I completely changed my mind about which one I was going to order. I originally chose another watch from the same seller, with a rose-gold band and an ombré black and grey dial. I asked the seller for some photos and they sent me photos of that watch and this one.

Well…

I saw this one and instantly changed my mind! 😂

The dial is such a gorgeous colour. I would describe it as rust, burnt orange or even a warm-toned red, but I definitely lean toward burnt orange and rust. I had never seen a watch dial in this colour before, and as a watch collector, I simply had to have it!

The Dancing Diamonds

Now let’s talk about the part that really caught my eye—the dancing diamonds!

This style of watch has diamonds that move around between two layers of sapphire glass. This particular watch has three diamonds, but there are other versions with five, seven, and even designs featuring suns, moons, stars and hearts.

My Friends… they are STUNNING! ✨

I could watch those little diamonds move all day!

The Unboxing

This is a true unboxing, exactly how the watch arrived to me.

I did not have the option to purchase a watch box with this order, which I would have definitely chosen if it had been available. Instead, the watch arrived in a small cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside a zip-closure bag.

The watch was protected, but I have to admit, shipping watches this way always makes me a little nervous! 😂

Once you get everything out, the watch is covered in protective plastic on the bracelet, clasp, dial, back and hardware. It takes a little while to remove it all, but there is something so satisfying about finally revealing the watch underneath!

The Details

The rose-gold bracelet has my favourite type of closure—a butterfly clasp. Once closed, the clasp is hidden and the bracelet looks completely smooth.

The watch also has beautiful rose-gold Roman-style markers, a sapphire detail on the crown and the branding positioned at the 12 o’clock position and on the back.

One thing I did not expect was the size of the dial. It is actually one of the smallest watches in my collection.

I usually wouldn’t describe myself as a delicate-watch kind of girl, but honestly…

I LOVE IT!

My Final Thoughts

I am so happy I changed my mind and ordered this watch. The rust-orange dial, rose-gold bracelet and dancing diamonds make it completely different from anything else in my collection.

Just a little note for transparency: this is an inspired watch style. The diamonds move back and forth between the layers of glass, although on more elaborate versions of this style, the stones can also spin and glide in a more dazzling way.

But for me?

I’m still absolutely thrilled with it! ❤️

And that other watch I originally wanted?

Well… I have a feeling I may be going back for that one too! Haha!
