Casual Jeans and a T-Shirt OOTD with a Pop of Plum and Emerald Green

Every once in a while, My Friends, you just want a casual OOTD with jeans and a t-shirt, and that is exactly the style I was feeling today!
Now, don’t let the words jeans and a t-shirt fool you. Casual does not have to mean boring! With a few little details, some fun accessories and a little bit of color theory, you can take a simple everyday outfit and give it your own little twist.
This is what I wear at 59… comfortable, affordable and always styled my way!

The Casual Jeans That Have a Little Something Extra

Let’s start with my jeans from Temu.
These are not your typical everyday jeans, and it is the subtle little details that make them stand out. The front pockets are sewn onto the outside of the jeans in a square shape rather than being the traditional style that you normally see on regular jeans.
What I really love about this design is that it creates a flatter look across the front. So, if you happen to have a little extra jellyroll in the front, My Friends… these jeans may just become your new best friend!
They also have a seam running down the front of each leg, which gives them a little something extra and makes these casual jeans feel more special. I love finding pieces like this that are comfortable enough for everyday wear but still have interesting details that help your OOTD stand out.
And yes, these jeans came from Temu!

Casual OOTD Means Sneakers!

For my shoes, I went with my white Vans sneakers from SoftMoc.
For me, a casual jeans and t-shirt outfit just calls for sneakers. They keep the whole look relaxed, comfortable and easy to wear. White sneakers are also one of those wardrobe staples that go with just about everything, so they are always a good choice when you want an effortless casual outfit.

A $9 Plum T-Shirt from Walmart? Yes, Please!

My t-shirt today is a new addition to my wardrobe, and I am loving this beautiful plum color!
This is one of the t-shirts that I picked up from Walmart for only $9.00. My Friends, run, don’t walk for these! They are super comfortable, easy to wear and, because they are so affordable, you can pick one up in every color.
I am always on the lookout for affordable fashion finds that don’t make me feel guilty about adding another piece to my wardrobe, and these t-shirts definitely fit the bill.

Adding a Little Style with My Brown Belt

Even with a casual outfit, you can still add your own style or little twist to make your OOTD pop.
I added my brown leather belt with the gold buckle today, which worked beautifully with the plum color of my t-shirt. The belt helped pull the outfit together and gave the casual jeans and t-shirt combination a little more personality.
This belt came from DHGate.

Let’s Talk Bangles, Rings and Necklace!

My bangles are the same stack that I have been loving lately. The first three are from a private seller named Pink, and the last two are from DHGate.
For my rings, I decided to have a little fun!
On my right hand, I am wearing my silver abstract heart ring that wraps around my finger. To give it a little extra pop, I added a small silver band with emerald-colored stones. Both of these rings came from Temu.
On my left hand, of course, I have my Oura Ring, which is my health and fitness tracker. I stacked it with this pretty silver ring featuring a small garnet stone, which is my birthstone. This ring also came from Temu.
I absolutely love mixing different rings and creating little stacks. You can completely change the look of your accessories just by mixing and matching pieces you already have.
For my chunky not-so-chunky necklace, I went with this pearl strand. Pearls always add a feminine touch to any outfit, and yes, you can absolutely wear pearls with jeans. These pearls came from Temu.

The Green Watch Was the Star of the Show!

My watch of choice today is another new addition, and My Friends… this one is definitely a star!
This beautiful watch has a gorgeous green motif dial and a sparkly fluted bezel. You know me and my watches… I love them all, but there is just something about a beautiful watch that can really elevate an outfit.
This watch came from DHGate, and I thought the emerald green dial was the perfect way to add another unexpected pop of color to today’s casual OOTD.

A Little Styling Tip: Have Fun with the Color Wheel!

Here is a little styling tip for you!
If you want a color to really pop or stand out in your OOTD, have a look at the color wheel.
That is exactly what I did with this outfit. My t-shirt is a beautiful plum shade, and I paired it with the emerald green stones in my ring and the gorgeous green dial on my watch.
These shades sit opposite each other on the color wheel, creating a contrast that helps both colors stand out even more.
This is such an easy way to add a little interest to an outfit. You do not have to wear a bright, colorful outfit from head to toe. Sometimes, just adding a small accessory in a contrasting color can make your entire look feel more intentional and unique.

My Edgy Plum Faux Suede Bag

My bag of choice today is this beautiful plum faux suede bag from Temu.
I absolutely love this one because it is a little edgy and completely different from the norm. The bag is designed to look like the top portion of a pair of jeans, and you know I love finding fashion pieces that are a little unexpected!
It is stylish, affordable and definitely a conversation piece. The plum shade also tied in beautifully with my t-shirt and helped bring the whole outfit together.

No Frames Today for My Sunnies!

For my sunglasses today, I chose these fun frameless sunnies with gold arms and gradient grey lenses.
The grey gradient lenses worked beautifully with the plum top, and the gold arms tied in with the gold buckle on my belt. Little details like this can make an outfit feel pulled together without looking like you spent hours trying to match everything perfectly.
And yes, these sunnies also came from Temu!

Affordable Fashion Is All About Having Fun!

Two of my favourite places to find affordable styles are Temu and DHGate.
When you are working with a budget, I think it is so much fun to find pieces that allow you to experiment with different styles without spending a fortune. Both places offer so many different looks, from casual and classic to trendy, edgy and everything in between.
Fashion should be fun, My Friends! You don’t have to spend a lot of money to create an outfit that feels like you.
Today’s casual jeans and t-shirt OOTD is the perfect example. A comfortable pair of detailed jeans, an affordable $9 t-shirt, classic white sneakers and a few accessories were all it took to create a casual look with plenty of personality.
Because sometimes, casual is exactly what we need… but that doesn’t mean we can’t still make it fabulous!
