My First Impression: Hello, Softness!
Starting right off, this bag is SUPER soft!
As soon as I removed it from the box, it felt like my hands had touched a cloud. Seriously, it was THAT squishy and soft! You know when you pick something up and immediately think, Ohhhh, this is nice!? That was me.
And then there was the scent…
The beautiful scent of leather escaping from the box immediately transported my mind to a luxury vacation. Haha! A girl can dream, right?
I also have to talk about the packaging because, My Friends, first impressions make the biggest impact, and Beltikbag definitely understood the assignment.
Everything came beautifully packaged with paper, ribbons, paperwork and a high-quality dust bag. I am absolutely all for beautiful packaging, and this did not disappoint.
The Color & That Gorgeous Monogram
The color of this bag is such a pretty neutral shade, which makes it incredibly versatile. It is one of those colors that can easily work with so many different outfits, whether you’re dressing casually for a day of shopping or putting together something a little more elevated.
The bag is made from perforated Mahina calfskin leather, and the monogram design is honestly one of the prettiest I have seen.
But here’s where it gets really interesting…
The monogram almost appears to be ghosting.
And what I mean by that is, when you look at the bag from one angle, you can see the monogram beautifully. Then you move the bag or look at it from another angle and… poof! The monogram seems to have completely disappeared.
It is such a unique effect and gives the bag a very subtle, sophisticated look without having the monogram screaming for attention.
I LOVE that!
The Perfect Everyday Size
The dimensions of the bag are 28 x 27 x 10 cm, and I would consider this a medium-sized handbag.
Personally, I think it is a really practical size.
It is large enough to carry what you need for a day out shopping, and let’s be honest, if you are anything like me, you may need a little extra room for the occasional shopping haul!
We need room for those purchases, My Friends! Haha!
Let’s Take an Adventure Inside the Bag
Now let’s take an adventure to the inside of the bag!
The feel of the calfskin leather on the inside is just as beautiful as the exterior. It has that incredibly soft texture, and you can also notice the perforated monogram design from the interior of the bag.
I love when the attention to detail continues all the way through the inside of a handbag.
There is also a zippered pouch with a two-way zipper, which is a really nice feature for keeping smaller items secure.
And yes…
I HAD to test the zipper!
Because that’s what we do when we review bags, right? Haha!
And this zipper was VERY zippy!
Just what we all love to see.
The Handle & Shoulder Strap
Now let’s talk about this handle because it is another stunner!
The handle narrows on both ends so it fits beautifully into the buckles on the sides of the bag, and then it gradually tapers wider as it moves toward the handle and shoulder section.
I added the handle at the shortest length, and it fits perfectly over my shoulder.
But the real winner for me is how comfortable this strap feels.
Whether I am wearing it over my shoulder or tucked underneath my arm, it feels incredibly soft. Honestly, it feels like wrapping your arm in a soft teddy bear!
And who doesn’t want a handbag that feels like a teddy bear? Haha!
The Little Details That Make a Big Difference
At the top of the bag are two magnetic snaps, and these magnets are nice and snappy—which I definitely appreciate!
But there is another little detail that I think is so clever.
The bag also has two thin leather ties at the top, and each tie has a lock attached to the bottom. These little locks give the ties some weight, which means you have several different ways you can style them.
You can tie the two leather straps at the very top of the bag into a pretty bow for a more feminine look.
Or, you can simply let the ties hang over one side of the bag without tying them. Because of the weight from the little locks, they don’t just flap around in the wind.
And if you want a more discreet look, you can tuck the ties inside the bag so it looks as though there aren’t any ties at all.
Three different ways to style the same detail!
Now THAT is versatility.
Quality Is In The Details
My Friends, when I look at a handbag, I don’t just look at the overall appearance. I want to see the little details.
And this bag did not disappoint.
From the perfect little feet on the bottom of the bag to the stitching throughout, everything looks beautifully finished.
I couldn’t find a stitch out of place, and the glazing along the seams is smooth, even and well sealed.
Those are the little details that make a handbag feel special to me.
Final Thoughts on My Beltikbag
Overall, my first impression of this Beltikbag was a very BIG YES!
The softness of the calfskin leather, the beautiful neutral color, the unique ghosting monogram, the comfortable shoulder strap, the spacious medium-sized design and all of those little finishing details really come together to create a bag that feels both luxurious and practical.
