My Friends, today’s OOTD is ALL BLACK from head to toe! 🖤
And honestly, looking at myself in this outfit immediately made me think of one person… Johnny Cash! HAHAHA! There is just something about an all-black outfit that feels effortlessly cool, a little edgy and definitely makes a statement.
But you know me — I can never just leave things simple! I had to add some sparkle, some gold, some texture and a little bit of personality to make this all-black outfit feel like me.
So let’s break down today’s look because there are so many little details that I absolutely love!

👖 Pants

Let’s start with these fabulous black pants because they are probably one of the most comfortable pairs of pants I own!
They are made from a soft, silky-feeling fabric and have this beautiful lace detail running down both sides of the legs, which takes them from casual to surprisingly dressy.
They have an elastic waistband, making them super comfortable, and they also have elastic cuffs at the bottom.
Now, I know when you hear elastic cuffs, you might immediately think sporty… but NO, My Friends! These are definitely not your typical sporty pants.
Between the silky fabric and the gorgeous lace detail, they have a much more dressed-up feel to them.
And guess where I found them?
A local thrift store!
You just never know what little treasures you are going to find when you go thrifting.
And by the way… my hubby has always called these my “Gypsy Pants.” HAHAHA! 😂
I actually think that makes me love them even more!

👚 Top

For my top today, I chose this black sleeveless crossover top that I picked up from Winners.
It has that same beautiful silky-touch fabric as the pants, and My Friends, the two pieces together look almost like they were made as a set!
I love when you can take two completely separate pieces from your wardrobe and put them together and suddenly they look like a coordinated outfit.
The crossover detail on the top also adds a little bit of interest to an otherwise simple black top.

Sorry, the top is unlinkable.

👟 On The Feet

Today I pulled out my black glitter sneakers from Amazon.
Because, of course, I couldn’t do an all-black outfit without adding a little sparkle! ✨
These sneakers are such a fun way to keep the outfit comfortable while still giving it that little bit of glam that I love.
The glitter catches the light beautifully and adds another layer of texture to the outfit.
And honestly, My Friends, who says comfortable sneakers can’t be part of a dressier outfit?
Not me!

Belt

My belt is a very new addition to my collection, and it was absolutely perfect for today’s OOTD.
This is a beautiful black leather belt with a brushed gold buckle, and the combination of the black leather with the gold works beautifully with everything else I’m wearing.
It pulls the entire outfit together while adding just another little touch of gold.
And I love when an accessory isn’t just functional — it becomes part of the outfit!

💛 Jewellery

Bangles

I went a little lighter with my bangles today and wore just two.
The first one is from a private seller named Pink, and the second one is from DHGate.
Sometimes just a couple of bracelets are all you need, especially when you’re already layering other jewellery. 
Sorry, the bangles are unlinkable.

Chunky Chain

Now this chunky chain is definitely having a moment today!
I chose this matchy-matchy black and gold chunky chain, with some links in black and others in gold.

PERFECT MATCH!

The combination of the black and gold works so well with the belt, watch and the rest of my accessories.
This chunky chain came from Temu.

Rings

My Friends… I REALLY stacked my rings today! 😂
On my right hand, I started with a thin band with diamonds around it, then in the centre I added this belt-inspired ring.
And let me tell you — this ring is EDGY, and I absolutely love it!
Then at the other end of the stack, I added another thin diamond band with a little drop heart pendant.
All three rings came from Temu.
And My Friends, let me tell you something about ring stacking…

You can stack those rings until they reach the end of your finger if you want to! 😂

It doesn’t matter what anyone else says.
If you like it, that is all that matters.

My watch today is another perfect match for this outfit.
It has a beautiful two-tone Jubilee-style band, a black dial with diamond-style batons and a gorgeous sparkly fluted-style bezel.
The black dial ties beautifully into the outfit, while the gold details coordinate perfectly with my belt and jewellery.
And that little bit of sparkle around the bezel?

👜 Bag

Now, My Friends… let me introduce you to my new best friend! 🥰
This bag is a little larger than the small and medium-sized bags I normally carry, but I have a feeling this one might become your new best friend too!
It is made from calfskin leather, and when I tell you this leather is SO SOFT… I mean SOFT!
When you put it over your shoulder and tuck it underneath your arm, it literally feels like you’re carrying the softest teddy bear of life! 😂
I absolutely love the feel of it.
And sometimes you just need a bag that gives you a little more room without feeling huge or overwhelming.

🕶️ Sunnies

For my sunglasses today, I chose these fabulous ones with black arms, black earpieces, gold frames and brown lenses.
I really like how the gold frames tie into all of the gold details throughout today’s outfit.
The brown lenses also soften the look just a little bit while still keeping that black-and-gold colour story going.

🖤 The Finished Look

So there you have it, My Friends — my head-to-toe black OOTD!
From the silky lace pants and crossover top to the glitter sneakers, black leather belt, black-and-gold jewellery, sparkling watch and that gorgeous soft leather bag, this outfit is all about mixing textures and details while keeping the colour palette simple.
And that’s one of the things I love about wearing all black.
You can keep the colour simple and then have fun with the textures, fabrics, jewellery, shoes and accessories.
The lace adds femininity, the leather adds structure, the glitter adds sparkle, the gold adds warmth and the chunky chain adds a little bit of edge.
And somehow, it all works together!
Maybe Johnny Cash would approve… maybe he wouldn’t! HAHAHA!
But one thing I know for sure — I love it, and that’s what matters.
Because fashion isn’t about following every rule.
It’s about taking the pieces you love, putting them together in your own way and creating a style that makes you feel confident.
